Telos takes its commitment to ESG seriously.
Not only do we support our clients’ on their own ESG journey, we have also conducted a materiality assessment on our own activities to ensure we do what we can to make a difference and leave a positive societal impact.
In 2021, we have signed a sponsorship agreement with Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University (RGU) to provide a year’s sponsorship for an MSc student. The selection has been undertaken by RGU in consultation with Telos, with the recipient of the sponsorship selected from graduate students who show potential, but whose personal circumstances mean that they were unable to meet the cost of taking a higher degree. Telos is particularly keen on sponsoring students keen to study issues relating to the transition of energy away from hydrocarbon dependence towards renewable and sustainable resources.
Also, in partnership with the RGU, Telos has created an annual cash prize for the best post graduate dissertation on energy transition. Our first prize was awarded in October 2021.
From an environmental perspective, we have started to record our emissions to understand our environmental footprint and have achieved ISO 14001 certification of our Business Management System. This provides us with the framework to improve our environmental performance over time.
Telos regularly reviews opportunities to progress its ESG agenda. By setting its own ESG focused objectives, Telos ensures its material issues are adequately managed.
