TelosNRG Ltd., is delighted to announce that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University RGU). The first of its kind for Telos, the agreement will see the company provide a year’s sponsorship for an MSc student. Selected by RGU in consultation with Telos, the recipient of the sponsorship will be selected from graduate students who show potential, but whose personal circumstances mean that they are unable to meet the cost of taking an higher degree. Of particular interest to Telos are students keen to study issues relating to the transition of energy away from hydrocarbon dependence towards renewable and sustainable resources.
Said MD of TelosNRG and graduate of RGU Nicol Shepherd, “Recognising RGU for its leading role in renewable and sustainability energy research and teaching was key to our sponsorship decision. As a company, we are also keen to give a helping hand to a deserving student and by working with RGU we believe we have found a formula that services both objectives. In doing so, we are grateful for the strong support we have received from RGU academics and administrators in making our ambition a reality. I am also very pleased to announce that Telos has created an annual cash prize for the best post graduate dissertation on energy transition. We believe that good work deserves recognition and that is what our sponsorship and prize recognise”.
Dr. Anita Singh, Academic Team Lead Post Graduate Management at RGU, said: ’We are extremely thankful to TelosNRG for sponsoring the scholarship and the best dissertation award. The scholarship will not just support our students financially, it will reinforce RGU’s collaboration with the energy industry and help students develop skills to become catalysts for transitioning into a greener, cleaner and sustainable world”.
